Sethupathy Government Arts College is located in Achunthanvayal, Madurai Road, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu – PIN 623502.

It was established in 1965 (as per its own ‘About’ page) to provide higher education to rural and semi-urban students.

The college is affiliated to Alagappa University, Karaikudi.

It offers undergraduate (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com), postgraduate (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com) and research programmes (M.Phil) across Arts, Science and Commerce streams.

The campus is well-equipped with facilities such as hostel accommodation for both boys & girls, library, laboratories, computer centre, sports and cafeteria.
